Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a Learning Support Assistant for an ASC school based in Patchway. The school provides personal academic, emotional, social, sensory and physical learning experience for autistic children.

The school is special place with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The environment is calm, supportive and safe for both staff and students. The school boats state of the art facilities such as a sports hall, sensory room and a vast outdoor space.

Responsibilities:

  • Working as part of a classroom team supporting students with autism and related communication disorders
  • Working closely with teachers to help to provide a stimulating learning environment for the children
  • Organising small items of equipment, set up activities and, at the end of the session, help to clear up
  • Participating and helping students with extra-curricular activities during the school day, such as P.E., swimming, football or visits in the community
  • Helping to maintain clean and tidy working conditions and adhere to the health and safety policy
  • Understanding and actively implementing all company policies, especially Child Protection/Safeguarding and behaviour policies

About the role:

  • September start
  • 08:30- 4:30
  • Term time only
  • £12.90 per day

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
