Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated and resilient individual to assist students with behavioural difficulties within a secondary school in Newport. You will play a critical role in assisting them in overcoming social obstacles and achieving academic success. An individual who has a genuine passion for supporting the development and wellbeing of young people, with a commitment to making a positive impact, will exceed in this role.

 

Location: Newport

Start Date: Immediate

Hours: Full Time

Salary:  £12.90 per hour (Can vary)

 

Responsibilities include:

-          Provide 1:1 and small group support to challenging students with behavioural difficulties to assist with social and academic success.

-          Foster a strong bond with student/s to establish a positive relationship and maintain trust.

-          Initiate behavioural coping mechanisms that help students make good choices and reflect on their actions.

-          Ensure safeguarding regulations are maintained throughout the school day.

-          Contribute to the creation of a calm and conductive learning environment by promptly and effectively handling any disruptions.

 

Further Details to consider:

-          Previous experience working with children/young people who have had behavioural management needs is desirable.

-          DBS and Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration is needed – Teaching Personnel can assist you with applying for these.
