The Role:

As a Behaviour Management Mentor, your primary focus will be working closely with students who have behavioural needs within a secondary school in Newport. You will play a vital role in helping them to overcome challenges and succeed both academically and socially.

Location: Newport

Start Date: ASAP

Hours: Full Time

Pay: £83.85 -£90 per day (depending on experience)

 

The ideal candidate will:

-          Provide 1:1 and small group support to challenging students with behavioural needs.

-          Create a positive relationship with student/s to establish trust.

-          Assist pupils academically and socially to unlock their potential and maximise their success.

-          Generate a positive and inclusive learning environment to promote wellbeing and support pupil’s physical and mental health.

-          Initiative behaviour management and coping strategies.

-          Monitor and track progress to ensure students are consistently developing within the school.

 

Further details to consider:

- Previous experience working with children/young people who have had behavioural management needs is needed.

- Require someone who is resilient and able to manage challenging behaviours.

- DBS and Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration is needed – Teaching Personnel can assist you with applying for these.
