Are you a graduate who is looking for a new and exciting challenge to work with children with behavioural issues?

Are you looking to work within a supportive secondary school in the Oldham area?

If so, this is your opportunity to join this Ofsted rated ‘Good’ school as a Behaviour Mentor. A school based in Oldham is seeking to appoint a behaviour mentor assistant to join their team either immediately or for September 2024.

Job Description:

  • Behaviour Mentor based in a ‘Good’ secondary school
  • Full time Monday – Friday 8:30am – 3:00pm
  • Hourly rate starting from £14 per hour
  • Temp to perm contract

You will be working with pupils who exhibit angry and withdrawn behaviour towards members of staff and other pupils. You will be working closely with the Head Teacher and the SENCO, ensuring regular feedback and evaluations are given to help improve the pupil’s behaviour and overall performance.

To be considered for this role, you must express the following skill set:

  • Experience working with young people
  • Experience dealing with challenging behaviour
  • Be flexible, patient and tolerant in different environments
  • Excellent communication skills with children
