Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to work in schools across Scarborough. Position: Behaviour Mentor
Location: Scarborough
Employment Type: Full-time/Part-time
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience and qualifications

  • Provide targeted 1:1 and group support for students facing behavioral or emotional challenges
  • Develop and implement behavior management strategies in collaboration with teachers and SEN coordinators
  • Foster a positive, supportive, and safe learning environment to encourage student engagement and success
  • Mentor students to improve their emotional well-being, resilience, and self-esteem
  • Support students in making positive choices and developing coping strategies to manage their behavior effectively
  • Work closely with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to supporting student behavior
  • Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with behavioral, emotional, or social difficulties (preferred but not essential)
  • A calm, patient, and resilient nature with a passion for helping young people
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
  • A valid DBS check (or willingness to apply for one)
  • Ability to work as part of a team and follow behavior management plans effectively

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
