SEN BEHAVIOUR SPECIALIST Tutor required in Derby City Centre!

Are you a Behaviour Specialist Tutor?

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting experienced and confident Behaviour Specialist Tutor in Derby City Centre, to support children with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties to re-engage with their learning and education. The aim is to ensure young people can access learning again, make progress and plan progression for a successful future.

Working as a Behaviour Mentor, you will be expected to have experience supporting students with special educational needs, and challenging behaviour across the age range of 2-19.

Furthermore you need to have:

  • Care or support worker background / counselling qualifications/ Mental health/ Secure Units/ Young offenders ( Ideally )
  • De-escalation training - E.g Team Teach ( Ideally )
  • Time management and ability to build a good relationship with our children
  • Willing to take a Full DBS check on the update system
  • PGCE and QTS – Not essential however
  • Planning and preparation experience to give the best education possible
