Teaching Personnel are looking for enthusiastic and engaging teachers / cover supervisors / teaching assistants to support pupils on a 1:1 and whole classroom basis. Many of our current placements are supporting pupils with behavioural challenges, and/or social mental health. As such, teaching and support often take place in groups as well as larger classrooms. We currently have availability across Wakefield and are looking for staff based in close proximity to this location.

We’ve seen an increase in demand for specialists in core subjects (English and Maths) so welcome teachers from any background.

Pupils may need intervention for a variety of reasons, including:

  • Behavioural difficulties (pupils excluded from school and awaiting a new placement)
  • Emotional needs including school phobia or anxiety
  • Medical needs
  • Relocation and awaiting a school placement
  • Improvement in grades
  • Support with GCSE and/or A Level preparation

Successful applicants will need:

  • Qualified Teacher with QTS or equivalent; ideally withing a core specialism (English or Maths)
  • Experience with primary or secondary aged children
  • Behavioural experience
  • Experience working with children in a tuition capacity (desirable)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
