The Behaviour Support Assistant will work closely with teachers and other staff to support students with challenging behaviour. Duties include implementing behaviour management strategies, providing one-to-one support to students, assisting in the development of individual behaviour plans, and helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

- A Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Teaching or Support, or relevant experience in a similar role

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations

- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies

- GCSEs in English and Maths

- Previous experience working with children or young people with challenging behaviour

- Knowledge of behaviour management techniques

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team

- Good organisational skills

- Ability to build positive relationships with students

- Level 3 qualification in Teaching or Support

- First Aid certification

- The Behaviour Support Assistant will work in a school setting, supporting students both in and out of the classroom

- May be required to work some evenings or weekends for special events or meetings

- Must adhere to the school's policies and procedures at all times

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
