Exciting Opportunity: Behaviour Support Assistant Needed

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students? Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant for a full-time position at an Ofsted Good secondary school in Bramhall.

Role Details:

  • Position: Behaviour Support Assistant
  • Duration: Full-time, starting after Easter until the end of the academic year
  • Possibility of Permanent Role: Depending on performance
  • Pay: £1540 - £1900 per month

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with behavioural challenges, helping them to overcome barriers to learning.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies and interventions as directed by the SENCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and classroom teachers.
  • Support students in developing social and emotional skills, promoting positive behaviour and self-regulation.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and external agencies to create individualised behaviour support plans and monitor progress.
  • Maintain accurate records of student behaviour incidents and interventions, contributing to ongoing assessments and reviews.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with behavioural difficulties in an educational setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers.
  • Patience, resilience, and empathy towards students facing behavioural challenges.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to supporting students' individual needs and adapting strategies as required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
