We are currently recruiting a nurturing Teaching Assistant to support a child in year 1 on a 1:1 basis. The child can present challenging behaviour; therefore, the successful candidate must be a resilient individual to help reinforce positive behaviours and de-escalate any situation that may arise during the day. The child is in the mainstream classroom and requires some support in interacting with the other children in the class.

Within the class, there are a number of support staff and a highly experienced teacher to help with any uncertainties or concerns throughout the day. The main responsibility of this role is to ensure the child’s safety and enforce a positive outlook on education.

What are the main requirements for this role?

-          Child only DBS on the update service

-          Registration with the Education Workforce Council

-          2x professional references

-          Some experience working with children with ALN (personal or professional context)

-          Real passion for supporting children in an education setting
