Teaching Personnel has been approached by an alternative provision based in Chorley.  The therapeutic provision caters for pupils up to 12 pupils aged 7-16 who have previously been excluded from school. Many pupils who attend this provision have social, emotional and mental health difficulties and some may display challenging behaviours. The provision offers pupil as a second chance at achieving an education, the provision aims to help the pupils learn how to adapt to the school environment and learn how to access their education.

As a Behaviour Learning Support Assistant, you will be required to supervise the pupils throughout the school day, encourage the pupils to engage with their education, build rapport with the pupil, be a role model, help the pupils to understand why their education is important. The role is with a view to integrate the pupils into the main school and join their cohort with a more varied curriculum.

The school would be interested in a candidate who has previous experience supporting children who display challenging behaviours. They would also consider applications from Sports Coaches, Carers, Residential support workers, Youth Workers and those with the experience within the Prison system or the Military.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
