Exciting Opportunity: Behaviour Mentor
Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of young people? Do you have experience or a keen interest in supporting students with behavioural challenges? We are currently seeking dedicated Behaviour Mentors to join an Ofsted good secondary school in Stockport. This is a full-time position available to start in September, with the opportunity for the role to become permanent based on performance and school requirements.
Role Overview:
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting students to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. You will work closely with individuals and groups of students to provide behaviour management support, guidance, and intervention strategies. Your responsibilities will include:
Behaviour Management: Implementing positive behaviour management techniques and strategies to support students with challenging behaviour, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Individual Support: Providing one-to-one mentoring and support to students with behavioural difficulties, helping them to develop self-regulation skills, manage emotions, and make positive choices.
Group Interventions: Facilitating group sessions and workshops aimed at developing social skills, conflict resolution strategies, and emotional resilience among students.
Collaboration: Working collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, and other support staff to develop and implement personalised behaviour support plans for students, ensuring consistency and continuity of support.
Monitoring and Reporting: Monitoring the progress and behaviour of students, collecting relevant data, and providing regular feedback to teachers and senior leaders to inform intervention strategies and support plans.
Crisis Intervention: Responding effectively to crisis situations, de-escalating conflicts, and providing immediate support and intervention where necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of students and staff.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
