Behaviour Support Assistant

Location: Towcester

Start: As soon as possible, 29.5 hours

Pay: Grade D PayScale £22,737 £23,114 FTE

An outstanding comprehensive school based in Towcester is looking to appoint a Behaviour Support Assistant to join the team.

You will be playing a key role within the school offering support both in the classroom and inclusion department. Assisting education, welfare and supervision to pupils, the ideal candidate would hold excellent communication skills and work collaboratively.

Your role will require day to day responsibilities listed below:

  • Offering 1:1 classroom support, building relationships and supporting the relationship of the inclusion team
  • Encourage positive behaviour, support by setting targets and providing a positive and motivating environment.
  • Provide academic support.
  • Creating and implementing development programmes for students.
  • Conducting 1:1 or group sessions

The right candidate will:

  • Demonstrate a good standard of IT skills.
  • Previous experience in a school or similar setting
  • Eligible to live and work in the UK
  • Positive, yet calm demeanour
  • Excellent communicator
