As a Teaching Assistant in one of the largest Specialist schools in the UK, your role will be to support pupils who have a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN) with their day to day schooling tasks, working with them closely both inside and outside of the classroom.

The successful candidate will have a passion for supporting children and ideally have experience working with children or have a background in a care role. Job Duties:

  • Demonstrate proactive initiative and the ability to follow direction calmly and assertively.
  • Provide tailored academic support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to support students' academic development.
  • Assist in implementing behaviour management strategies.

The vetting process:

  • Have an enhanced DBS registered with the update service or be willing to apply for one.
  • Register with education work force council.
  • Provide two previous employment references.
  • Complete safeguarding level 2
