Position: Behaviour Support Assistant 

Location: Preston

Hours: Full-Time, 8:45 am - 3:15 pm, Monday to Friday 

Pay Rate: £12.90 per hour

Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide crucial support to multiple children across Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2), helping them to overcome challenges and thrive in their educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

-          Work closely with teachers and other support staff to implement effective behaviour management strategies.

-          Provide one-on-one and small group support to children displaying challenging behaviours.

-          Assist in creating and maintaining a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.

-          Monitor and record students’ progress and behaviour, providing feedback to teachers and parents as necessary.

-          Support the emotional and social development of the children, fostering a supportive and caring atmosphere.

Requirements:

-          Proven experience in supporting children with challenging behaviours.

-          Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies.

-          Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

-          Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children's development.

-          Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
