The Role

As a Behavioural Support Assistant, you will:

  • Work closely with students with SEN and SEMH needs, providing individualized and small group support.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with students to understand their unique needs and challenges.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to create and implement effective support strategies.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of personalized learning plans.
  • Monitor and report on students’ progress, adjusting support strategies as needed.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have previous experience working with children with SEN and SEMH needs.
  • Demonstrate a strong ability to build and maintain relationships with both students and staff.
  • Be dedicated to providing the highest quality care and support to vulnerable students.
  • Show reliability, patience, and empathy in all interactions.
  • Be able to work effectively both one-on-one and in small group settings.
  • Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Be committed to ongoing professional development and learning.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
