The Role:
An oversubscribed school in Fairfield is currently looking to appoint a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with an EHCP. The pupil has significant SEND requirements, including the need for SEMH support. As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will work under the direction and guidance of teaching and senior staff to implement support programmes for the pupil. This will involve working both within the classroom and outside the main teaching area and may occasionally include supporting other children. Additionally, the role will involve collaborating closely with the teacher and SENCo to identify the pupil’s specific needs, barriers to learning, and current attainment and progress. Previous experience working on a 1:1 basis with a child with an EHCP would be advantageous, but any relevant experience working with children or adults with significant needs will also be considered.

The school:
The school is well situated in the local area and has consistently received excellent feedback for fostering a strong sense of community through its Christian values and commitment to positive change within the community. The school is Ofsted-rated 'Good' and offers an exceptional curriculum, including a wide range of enrichment activities such as wellbeing sessions and various clubs. It is evident that this is a school that truly cares! Moreover, the school provides an excellent environment for developing expertise and advancing your career, as it is significantly larger than many other schools in the area.
