Position: Behavioural Support Assistant
Location: Liverpool
Type: Full-Time

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Behavioural Support Assistant to join a team in Liverpool. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to supporting students in reaching their full potential, especially those who may present with challenging behaviours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Student Support: Work closely with students, providing one-on-one or small group support to help them succeed academically and socially.
  • Behaviour Management: Utilize your experience to de-escalate situations, employing proven strategies to manage and mitigate challenging behaviours.
  • Relationship Building: Establish trusting, positive relationships with students, creating a safe and supportive environment where they feel comfortable and valued.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure each student’s needs are met.
  • Adaptability: Support students with a range of educational needs, adapting your approach to meet individual learning styles and requirements.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role, particularly working with challenging behaviours in an educational setting.
  • Passion: A genuine passion for working with children and helping them achieve their best.
  • Patience & Compassion: The ability to remain calm, patient, and compassionate in high-stress situations.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with various educational needs and the strategies to support them.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
