  • Provide support to students with challenging behaviour in an educational setting.
  • Assist in implementing behaviour management strategies as directed by the SENCO or teacher.
  • Work one-on-one or in small groups to help students develop social and emotional skills.
  • Observe and report on student behaviour patterns and progress to the relevant school staff.
  • Support the overall well-being and safety of students during school hours.
  • Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
  • Previous experience working with children or young people, particularly those with behavioural challenges.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations.
  • Welsh language- desirable

GCSEs in English and Maths or equivalent

Previous experience working with children or young people

  • Understanding of behaviour management techniques in an educational setting.
  • Ability to build rapport and trust with students.
  • Basic knowledge of child development and psychology.
  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desired)
  • Training in positive behaviour support or similar approaches.
  • Work primarily during school hours.
  • May involve some outdoor activities or physical intervention in certain situations.
  • Collaboration with teachers, SENCO, and other school staff.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
