The Behaviour Support Assistant will work closely with teachers and other staff members to support students with challenging behaviour. Duties include implementing behaviour management strategies, providing one-on-one support to students, assisting in de-escalating challenging situations, and maintaining detailed records of student progress and behaviour incidents.

  • Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
  • Previous experience working with children or young people with behaviour difficulties
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations

A relevant qualification in Education, Psychology, or Social Work is desirable.

At least 1 year of experience working in a similar role within an educational setting.

  • Understanding of behaviour management techniques
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures

A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.

The role involves working within a school environment, supporting students with challenging behaviour. This may require some flexibility in working hours and occasional participation in training sessions.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
