As a Behaviour Support Officer, you’ll be a key part of our dedicated team, helping students overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with behavioural challenges.
  • Implement and follow individualized behaviour plans to support students in managing their behaviour.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, pastoral staff, and parents to ensure consistent behavioural strategies are in place.
  • Use de-escalation techniques to manage challenging situations calmly and effectively.
  • Promote positive behaviour across the school and encourage students’ social and emotional development.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, contributing to wider school goals.

  • Experience working with young people, particularly those with behavioural challenges.
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to managing challenging situations.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
  • A proactive, flexible attitude and a passion for student success.
