Job Vacancy: Behaviour Support Officer (Full-Time)
Location: Bacup, Lancashire
Start Date: January 2025

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dedicated team as a Behaviour Support Officer at our secondary school in Bacup.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide targeted behaviour support to students, promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
• Work closely with teachers, pastoral teams, and parents to develop behaviour plans and strategies.
• Assist in managing challenging behaviour, helping students to remain engaged in their education.
• Support the development of a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
• Monitor and track student progress, offering guidance to improve their behaviour and learning outcomes.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience working with young people, ideally in a school setting or a similar support role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships.
• Patience, empathy, and resilience in dealing with challenging behaviour.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider school team.
