Role and Responsibilities: As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with SEMH needs. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing one-on-one and group support to students, helping them to manage their behaviour and emotions.
  • Working closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create and implement effective behaviour support plans.
  • Promoting a positive and inclusive school environment.
  • Monitoring and recording student progress and adapting support strategies as needed.
  • Delivering tailored interventions and activities designed to improve students' social skills, self-esteem, and resilience.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of whole-school behaviour policies.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience working with young people with SEMH needs in an educational setting is highly desirable.
  • A relevant qualification in education, psychology, counselling, or a related field is preferred.

  • A proactive and positive approach to problem-solving.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
