A school in Stockport are currently searching for a behaviour Teaching Assistant to join their ‘GOOD’ school, according to Ofsted reports. 

The main roles and responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting SEN students through their school life.
  • Maintaining a calm and positive nature throughout the school day.
  • Monitoring and supporting the children’s behaviour.
  • Working 1:1 with students to help control their emotions and remained focus on the task in hand.

It would be desirable for the school to bring in a candidate that already has previous experience in a school setting, but not completely essential. Any individual who’s been able to prove themselves to manage and control behaviour in any setting, would show to be a valuable asset to help the current staff there.

In situations where the successful candidate is appointed, any specific training that is required for the role in hand will be provided by the school, to aid the new starter through their experience. This will be a challenging yet rewarding opportunity for any individual with the suitable characteristics and experience, that’s keen to get started.
