Behavioural Mentor

Teaching Personnel is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Behavioural Mentor to join a large English-medium school in the Caerphilly area. In this role, you'll work alongside the ALN coordinator and teaching staff to support students with behavioural and additional learning needs (ALN). Given the challenges of the position, prior experience, either personal or professional, is highly beneficial.

Location: Caerphilly

Hours: 8:15 AM – 3:30 PM

Pay: £80 - £100 per day

Start Date: ASAP

 

Key Responsibilities:

· Provide 1-to-1 support for students with Autism, ADHD, and other behavioural, social, emotional, and mental health challenges.

· Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities for students with behavioural needs.

· Help students engage with learning and improve their behaviour in both group settings and on an individual basis.

Requirements:

· Enhanced DBS check (child only) & registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) – Teaching Personnel can assist with this.

· Previous experience working with children with ALN is desired, though not essential (personal or professional experience welcomed).

· Minimum of 5 GCSEs (A*-C)
