About the Role:

Are you passionate about supporting young people in their educational journey? Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Behaviour & Pastoral Support Assistant to join our team in Liverpool. This role is ideal for someone who is committed to making a positive impact on students' lives by providing essential support in both behaviour management and pastoral care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students to manage behaviour and emotional well-being.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies and work closely with teaching staff to maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Support students with social, emotional, and mental health needs, ensuring they have a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of personalised support plans for students.
  • Promote positive behaviour and well-being throughout the school.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally within an educational or care setting.
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and pastoral care.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting students.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, child care, or a related field are desirable but not essential.
  • A valid DBS check and on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
