Role Overview:
As a Behaviour Support Specialist, you will play a key role in creating a positive and supportive atmosphere that enables students to succeed. Your expertise will help ensure a safe and respectful learning environment, where each student feels valued and empowered.

Responsibilities:

  • Implementing behaviour management strategies tailored to individual student needs.
  • Working closely with teachers, parents, and support staff to develop effective behaviour intervention plans.
  • Providing one-to-one and group support to students who require additional assistance.
  • Conducting assessments and tracking student progress in relation to behaviour goals.
  • Organising and delivering workshops for students on topics such as emotional regulation and conflict resolution.
  • Acting as a positive role model, demonstrating appropriate behaviour and communication skills.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in behaviour support, counselling, or a related field is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathy, patience, and the ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Familiarity with behaviour intervention strategies and techniques.
  • A commitment to the well-being and development of all students.
