Role Overview: As a Behaviour Support Specialist, you will play a key role in creating a positive and conducive atmosphere that allows students to flourish. Your expertise will help maintain a safe and respectful environment in which each student feels valued and empowered.

Responsibilities:

• Implementing behaviour management strategies tailored to the needs of individual students.
• Working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and support staff to develop effective behaviour intervention plans.
• Providing one-to-one and group support to students who require additional guidance.
• Conducting assessments and monitoring student progress in relation to behaviour targets.
• Planning and delivering workshops on topics such as emotional regulation and conflict resolution.
• Serving as a positive role model, demonstrating appropriate behaviour and communication skills.

Requirements:

• Relevant experience in behaviour support, counselling, or a related field is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Empathy, patience, and the ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Familiarity with behaviour intervention strategies and techniques.
• A commitment to supporting the well-being and growth of each student.
