They are committed to providing a supportive and nurturing environment for children who have struggled in mainstream schools. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to succeed and flourish, regardless of their past challenges. Their focus is on Key Stage 4 children who are unable to return to mainstream schools and have an Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP).

Role and Responsibilities: As a Behavioural Specialist, you will:

  • Work full-time in a classroom environment, providing tailored support to children with behavioural challenges.
  • Develop and implement effective behaviour management strategies.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a holistic support plan for each child.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages growth and learning.
  • Serve as a mentor and role model, helping children build self-esteem, resilience, and social skills.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience working with children who have behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and intervention strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help children succeed.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, social work, or a related field.
  • Experience working with children who have EHCPs is highly desirable.

The ideal candidate would be somebody who really cares about working with and supporting children, the school are looking for an individual to fit into their team as they have built what feels like a small family. They support each other and guide each other through what can be a very difficult but rewarding role. It is important that you can take the time to get to know the children and also show empathy towards the students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
