An Ofsted Good School based near Sale (Trafford) in Greater Manchester are seeking to appoint for a full-time permanent Business Studies teacher from January 2025. The role will involve planning and delivering effective schemes of work up to KS5 A-Level (the successful candidate will have experience in delivering up to GCSE, but experience up to A-Level would be desirable).

You should be able to effectively engage students within lessons and should have an enthusiastic and positive attitude. The ability to handle classroom behaviour well and push students academically is also required as well as the ability to track attainment and progress throughout the course of the academic year. You will have strong subject knowledge and a strong teaching pedagogy. The school are keen to interview candidates over the coming weeks with a view to appointing for January 2025.

The school offers a supportive environment with an organized and supportive SLT in place to ensure that members of staff have all the tools they require to succeed in their role. It is an oversubscribed and highly desirable school that local parents are keen to get their children into due to the excellent exam results graduating students receive and the culture of support they are given.

  • Pay: M1 (31,650) – UPS3 (49,084) per annum depending on pay scale level.
  • Must have Recognized UK QTS in Business Studies
  • Essential: Experience delivering to GCSE level
  • Desirable: Experience delivering to A-Level.
  • Suitable for both ECT’s and more experienced teachers
  • Must live in (or within commuting distance to) Sale, Trafford.
