We are seeking a talented Business Studies teacher to join a high-achieving and welcoming secondary school in Southampton. As a Business Studies teacher, you will:

  • Teach engaging lessons: Deliver inspiring and relevant Business Studies lessons to KS4 and KS5 students, covering key topics such as entrepreneurship, finance, marketing, and business management.
  • Prepare students for success: Equip students with the knowledge and skills required for success in their GCSEs and A-levels, while also fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Promote real-world applications: Bring business concepts to life by incorporating real-world examples, case studies, and project-based learning to ensure students understand how theory translates to practice.
  • Encourage entrepreneurial spirit: Foster a love for business and enterprise by encouraging students to develop their own business ideas, and guiding them through the process of planning, marketing, and financial forecasting.
  • Support student progression: Provide one-to-one feedback and guidance to help students excel in their coursework and exams, while also preparing them for future career pathways in business, economics, or entrepreneurship.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): With a specialism in Business Studies or a related field.
  • Passion for Business and Enterprise: A genuine interest in business education and the ability to inspire students to see the potential of their ideas.
  • Classroom Management Skills: Confidence in managing a diverse classroom and creating an inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.
  • Creativity and Enthusiasm: The ability to design engaging lessons that stimulate students' interest in the ever-changing world of business.
