Calling All Psychology Graduates!

 

Are you looking for paid experience in the education sector while working with special needs students? This is your chance!

Teaching Personnel is seeking Specialist Teaching Assistants in Bargoed, to support pupils with Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, Down syndrome, epilepsy, and mental health challenges. This full-time position involves working one-on-one with students, helping them navigate their daily routines, stay engaged during the school day, and achieve their learning goals. You’ll also help identify triggers and use de-escalation techniques when needed.

 

What We're Looking For:

  • A degree (or pending) in Psychology (or something similar)
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • Excellent communication and a passion for supporting others

 

You will regularly report on student progress and behaviour and be open to receiving training in Team Teach and Manual Handling.

This role is a fantastic opportunity for recent graduates to apply their academic knowledge in a meaningful way and contribute to the growth and development of special needs pupils. Starting pay is £12.90 per hour, with potential increases based on experience and performance.
