Caretaker in Wigan
Are you a practical, reliable, and hardworking individual looking for a rewarding role in a school environment? We are seeking a Primary School Caretaker to join our dedicated team in Wigan.
Position: School Caretaker
Location: Wigan
Pay: £85-£100 per day
Hours: Full-time (Monday to Friday)
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the school premises are well-maintained, clean, and safe.
- Opening and closing the school each day.
- Carrying out minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Monitoring site security and safety, including regular fire safety checks.
- Overseeing deliveries and managing school supplies.
- Assisting with the setup of classrooms and school events.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a caretaker or facilities role is desirable.
- be able to work under COSHH regulations.
- Strong DIY skills for minor repairs.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- A proactive and reliable attitude.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)
