Role Overview:
We are seeking a flexible and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team on an Adhoc basis. This role is ideal for someone looking to work around their own availability while contributing to the success and well-being of our students. The successful candidate will support the learning and development of primary-aged children with additional needs, ensuring they have the best possible educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to individual students or small groups, helping them engage with the curriculum and achieve their learning goals.
  • Assist with the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to deliver a cohesive educational experience.
  • Adapt learning materials and activities to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Offer emotional and social support to students, helping them build confidence and resilience.
  • Maintain flexibility in responding to the changing needs of the school and students.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children, particularly in an SEN setting, is highly desirable.
  • A patient, understanding, and adaptable approach to supporting children with special educational needs.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A commitment to promoting inclusion and positive outcomes for all students.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or SEN support are a plus, but not essential.
