Location: Chorley
Contract: Part-Time, Flexible (1-2 Days per Week)

We are currently seeking an adaptable and resilient Teaching Assistant to provide day-to-day cover at a busy Primary and Secondary SEN School in Chorley. This role offers the perfect opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in education without committing to a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-class support for pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including one-to-one and group assistance.
  • Assist teaching staff in delivering lessons and activities, adapting resources to meet individual pupil needs.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive learning environment that supports the development and well-being of all students.
  • Manage challenging behaviours with patience and professionalism, contributing to a calm and structured learning setting.

Essential Requirements:

  • Flexibility to work 1-2 days per week based on the needs of the school.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with both students and staff.
  • A proactive and resilient attitude, with a genuine commitment to supporting the educational and emotional growth of pupils with SEN.
  • Prior experience working with children, particularly in an SEN setting, is desirable but not essential.

This role is ideal for individuals who want to make a meaningful impact in education on a flexible, part-time basis.
