Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Child Support Worker to work with children and young people in Selby. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide emotional and practical support to students, helping them overcome barriers to learning and supporting their development in a safe and nurturing environment.

• Providing 1:1 and small group support to children with emotional, behavioural, or learning challenges
• Assisting students in overcoming social and emotional difficulties to enhance their educational engagement
• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to support each child's development
• Helping to create and implement individual support plans for students
• Encouraging positive behaviour and building strong, trusting relationships with pupils
• Supporting students in developing their social and life skills

• Experience working with children or young people in an educational, social care, or similar setting (preferred but not essential)
• A patient, understanding, and empathetic approach
• Ability to work collaboratively with other professionals
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• A DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
