Classroom assistant (1:1)– Grangetown

Full-time (8:30am – 3:30pm )

£70 - £80 per day

The headteacher of a lovely primary school in the Grangetown area is searching for a classroom assistant to work with a young boy in the year 2 class who has ADHD and challenging behaviour. You will be supporting the child within a classroom setting and outdoors in the playground.

The young boy loves the outdoors, all sports and especially playing football, therefore it is extremely beneficial that you have an interest in these activities too, to help create a bond with the child. You will be supporting the child with his classwork, but as he learns through play, most activities will be practical.

This role is to start immediately and will continue until April 2023.

For this role you will need:

• To be confident in supporting a child with challenging behaviour
• Experience supporting children or adults with special educational needs (professionally or personally)
• To have an enthusiastic, positive, and motivating personality
• To be punctual and reliable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
