Complex Needs Teaching Assistant

Overview:

Teaching Personnel are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to join one of our Special Educational Needs provisions based in Bridgend. The successful candidate will work with children and young people who require additional support in managing their behaviour, helping them to develop strategies and techniques that will help them to become successful learners and enjoy positive and strong relationships with their peers.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work with children to identify their behaviour and emotional needs, develop strategies to support them and help them achieve their goals.
  • Monitor and assess the progress of children, report on their progress and identify any additional support they require.
  • Provide professional guidance and advice to parents and teachers, linking them with support services and resources as needed.
  • Develop and maintain a positive and supportive relationship with children, showing empathy and respect.
  • Regularly attend training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in the area of behaviour management.
