ICT Teacher required for a secondary school in Portsmouth

A respected secondary school in Hampshire, part of a well-regarded educational trust, is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Computer Science/ICT Teacher to join their team from September. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity for either an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to begin their journey in a supportive environment or an experienced teacher ready for a new challenge. Graduates with an appropriate degree are also encouraged to apply.

  • Deliver engaging and innovative Computer Science and ICT lessons to students aged 11-16.
  • Plan, prepare, and assess student work in line with the school’s curriculum and standards.
  • Develop students’ critical thinking and problem-solving skills through a thinking-centred approach.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
  • Contribute to the school’s extracurricular activities and support students’ personal development.
  • A degree in Computer Science, ICT, or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable, but applications from graduates working towards this qualification are welcome.
