Our well-respected partner secondary school in Oldham is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Construction Teacher to join our dedicated team. If you have a background in construction and a flair for teaching, we want to hear from you!

  • Engaging Curriculum: Develop and deliver engaging construction lessons to students at KS4 and KS5, covering various aspects of construction theory and practical skills.
  • Student Development: Foster a positive learning environment, encouraging student participation and progress in construction-related subjects.
  • Hands-On Learning: Provide practical instruction in construction techniques, ensuring students gain hands-on experience.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback to help students achieve their full potential.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all practical activities comply with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe learning environment.
  • Professional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the construction curriculum and participate in departmental and school-wide activities.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Or a relevant degree in Construction or a related field or sufficient experience.
  • Industry Experience: Proven experience in the construction industry, with a strong understanding of construction practices and techniques.
  • Teaching Expertise: Previous teaching experience is desirable but not essential. However, a passion for education and working with young people is a must.
  • Classroom Management: Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Professional Development: Commitment to continuous professional growth and staying current with industry and educational best practices.
  • DBS Certificate: Must hold a valid DBS certificate or be willing to apply for one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
