Job Title: Construction Trainer Assessor

Location: Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire

Salary: £28,500 - £33,500 per annum Pro Rata

Contract: Part Time, Permanent

 

Teaching Personnel Permanent Workforce Team are currently working alongside a leading Further Education College who are currently looking to speak with any experienced Trainer/Assessor of Construction to join their campus located in Huntingdon. You will act as main point of contact for employers and learners, creating positive relationships with employers to support in the training and development of learners and, providing feedback on progress as required.

 

Key Duties:

  • Liaise with all parties (employer, learner and college) to complete the learner sign up process in line with the College procedures, ensuring that all required documentation is completed efficiently and accurately.
  • Ensure that assessment of learners starting points is used in planning and sequencing their learning regarding English, Maths and KSB’s.
  • Provide information, advice and guidance to learners and employers throughout their programme, ensuring that all learners are aware of Careers Information Advice and Guidance and Wellbeing available to them to support their progress. Ensure that the learners individual training plan and content prepares them effectively for EPA (where relevant).
  • Plan and prepare learners for assessment, gateway, and EPA, ensuring a clear understanding of the gateway(s) for each standard and how these are clearly planned into the learners individual training plan, including timescales, content and locations.
  • Provide instruction, training and assessment ensuring training meets standards set by the College and Awarding Organisations (AO), including complying with the relevant AO and College quality assurance processes and requirements in all assessment practice, and presenting learners work for quality assurance purposes when required.

 

Requirements:

  • Must have completed the Level 3 TAQA qualification or equivalent with appropriate updates.
  • Contribute to IQA strategies that reflect the College’s IQA policies.
  • Create IQA plans and ensure that they are updated accordingly.
  • Observe, support and mentor other Assessors as identified in the IQA strategy.
  • Participate in standardisation meetings and lead where appropriate.
  • Work with WBL Managers to identify improvements that can be made to assessing and quality assurance practices
