Role Overview: As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the continuity of learning within the school by providing cover for absent teachers. You will supervise students during their lessons, ensuring that pre-prepared work is completed and maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising students in the absence of their regular teacher, ensuring that they remain on task and complete assigned work.
  • Managing the classroom effectively, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Delivering pre-prepared lesson materials as provided by teaching staff.
  • Maintaining accurate records of student attendance and behavior.
  • Liaising with teaching staff and senior leadership to ensure the smooth running of the school day.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with young people in an educational setting is desirable but not essential.
