As a Cover Supervisor, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the continuity of learning during teacher absences. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising classes and ensuring students stay on task with the work set by their regular teacher.
  • Managing classroom behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment.
  • Assisting students with any questions or concerns they may have about the work.
  • Reporting any issues or incidents to the appropriate member of staff.
  • Supporting the school's policies and procedures to ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment.

To be successful in this role, candidates should have:

  • A minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
  • Previous experience working with young people, ideally within an educational setting.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
  • An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
