Are you looking for a more flexible role?

Want to do the teaching but not the marking and planning?

Considering going into teaching and keen to gain some classroom experience?

Teaching Personnel are currently looking for Cover Supervisors in and around the Christchurch area. Cover Supervisors take on the role of stepping in when teachers are absent, they deliver the pre-prepared work and facilitate the independent learning of the class. This is a great way into teaching, with our schools offering lots of scope for progression. Or if you are an already qualified teacher but not wanting to go full time, Teaching Personnel can offer you that flexibility. We have part time and full-time work on offer at range of secondary schools within the Christchurch area.

The roles and responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor are varied and differ between schools; however your role would typically include:

• Getting the classroom ready for lessons

• Delivering pre-prepared lessons in an engaging manner

• Helping children who need extra support to complete tasks

• Managing pupil behaviour

• Clearing away materials and equipment after lessons

• Carrying out administrative tasks

To succeed in this role you will need to:

• Be willing to get involved across all subjects

• Have good behaviour management skills

• Hold a child workforce DBS on the update service (if you do not already have one, we can help you apply)

If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, send over a copy of your updated CV and one of our experienced consultants will be in touch.
