Cover Supervisor - Short-Term Sickness & Absence Cover

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting Cover Supervisors to work within our schools, providing short-term cover for sickness and staff absences. This role requires a confident and adaptable individual who can maintain a productive learning environment while supervising students across a range of subjects. You will be working on a flexible, day-to-day basis, ensuring that lessons run smoothly and students remain focused.

Key Duties:

  • Supervise lessons in the absence of the regular class teacher, following pre-set lesson plans.
  • Manage classroom behaviour and provide support to students as needed.
  • Be available to work on short notice, providing cover for sickness and unplanned absences.
  • Report on lesson progress and any incidents that occur during the class.

Essential Skills:

  • Experience leading a classroom or group of students (as a Cover Supervisor or other educational role).
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly across different subjects and schools.
  • A positive, can-do attitude and the ability to adapt to different classroom settings quickly.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
