Responsibilities of Cover Supervisor:
- Supervise and manage the classroom in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students stay focused and on-task.
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and provide general support to students during lessons.
- Maintain effective classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment.
- Adapt to various subjects and year groups across secondary education settings.
- Provide feedback on student performance and behaviour after each lesson.
Requirements of Cover Supervisor:
- Experience working in secondary education, either as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar support role.
- Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to maintain discipline and engage students.
- Flexibility to work in different schools and year groups within the Maidstone area.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow pre-set lesson plans effectively.
- A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting learning.
