Job Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring that students stay on task with pre-set work.
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s behaviour policy.
  • Support students with their learning by answering questions and providing guidance where needed.
  • Take an active role in maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Provide feedback to the regular class teacher regarding any issues or successes during the lesson.
  • Assist with other duties as required, such as exam invigilation or break/lunch supervision.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience working with secondary school-aged students is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to motivate and engage students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A positive and flexible approach to working in different classrooms and subject areas.
