We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable Cover Supervisor to work at a thriving secondary school in Waterlooville. Job Description: We are looking for a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring that students remain on task and complete the work set by their teachers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise classes across all key stages and subjects.
  • Manage student behavior in line with school policies.
  • Ensure students understand the tasks set and provide assistance where needed.
  • Maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Report any issues or concerns to the appropriate staff member.
  • Support the school’s ethos and values.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with young people, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in different subject areas.
  • A positive attitude and a commitment to student success.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in education (desirable but not essential).
