  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans to secondary school students in the absence of the regular teacher.
  • Maintain a secure and positive learning environment for students.
  • Manage classroom behaviour and ensure students are actively engaged in the learning process.
  • Provide feedback to regular teachers on student progress and any issues encountered during the day.
  • Adhere to school policies and procedures at all times.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience working with secondary school students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to different teaching styles and environments.

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.

Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a secondary school setting.

  • Strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum.
  • Ability to effectively manage a classroom and engage students in learning.
  • Proficient in using educational technology to support teaching and learning.
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).
  • Experience in covering a variety of subjects in the secondary school curriculum.

This role involves working on a temporary, part-time basis, providing cover for regular teachers as needed. The work will be carried out within a secondary school in Clapham, Greater London. The teacher is expected to adhere to the school's schedule and policies while maintaining a professional and supportive learning environment for students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
