Cover Teacher

Location – Powys

Hours – 8.30am – 3.30pm

Pay - £157.66 - £210

Start date – September 2nd 2024.

A dynamic and well-established secondary school in Powys is seeking a versatile Cover Teacher to provide flexible support across the school. Our friendly and inclusive community prides itself on valuing every individual, offering a supportive environment where students can thrive academically, creatively, and personally.

The school boasts state-of-the-art facilities across all subjects, including an athletics track and modern buildings for science, music, and drama. As a Cover Teacher, you will have the opportunity to work with students aged 11-18, no marking or planning lessons will be required.

Roles

  • Contribute to the provision of a safe, secure learning environment.
  • Supply appropriate planning materials, following school plans where provided.
  • Support the use of support staff relevant to the class.
  • Mark work for primary school pupils (or secondary if for more than one day)
  • Maintain a professional standard of dress and behaviour.
  • Implement and maintain the discipline and behaviour policy of the school.

Requirements

  • Enhanced DBS cleared or willing to apply.
  • Qualified teacher status including NTS.
  • EWC registered.
  • Be able to provide 2 references.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
